Review:

I'm not going to tell you anything about it's plot because it would only ruin the film (as it is one of discovery) however, I started watching Dean Spanley on the recommendation of my mother. Knowing absolutely nothing about it, I quietly sat down and was quickly wrapped up in its undeniably quirky but thoroughly wonderful story. You cannot fault any of the performances - especially Sam Neill - who as you will discover, has a subtle but complex role. Though it plays with interesting philosophical ideas - it is above all a film about relationships. It is beautiful, clever, unique and well worth your time. Bring tissues - but they are more tears of happiness than despair.
